ADVANCED IMAGE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY --APPLICATIONS IN MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING

摘要

Research on advanced image information technology aims at establishing basic technologies related to the store, retrieval, processing, compression, transmission, and display to improve the functionality of and give added value to image information media. This paper describes two computer--aided systems developed as the result of research on medical image processing. One is the automatic extraction method of soft tissues from 3D head MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). The other is computer-aided diagnosis system for lung cancer screening by X-ray CT (Computed Tomography).
