Dr. Robert W. McChesney understood his principles before he entered graduate school at the University of Washington in the fall of 1983. He valued the study of economics, history, and politics. What he needed was scholarly training. Now, more than 30 years later, Dr. McChesney more than ever sees the need for a new generation of scholars to study political economy of media. His scholarship and activism have made him one of the most productive and visible academics in the United States. He has written or edited 23 books, many of which remain in wide circulation on college campuses and beyond.
