Angular Erros Measurement of a Rotary Table by a Laser Tracker System

摘要

In this paper, a technique for measuring the angular errors of a rotary table by a laser tracker system is presented. The system includes a laser tracker with a computer system and a plate including three caves on it. The plate is fixed on the rotary table by clamps and rotates with it. The laser tracker system can detect the coordinates of the caves by putting a sensor ball into them. By means of the coordinates, the real rotation angles of the table can be obtained and then the corresponding angular errors of the table can be measured. A set of angular errors was prearranged to simulate the rotating condition. By comparing the prearranged errors and the tracked ones, the correctness of this method was then proved. The technique presented here is based on the method of laser tracker system proposed in the previous study by Lin and Her (2004).
