Design Resource Application Services Based on the Semantic Web Services

Enterprise cooperation is an inevitable trend for business development and how to transfer and acquire knowledge quickly but effectively is becoming a bottleneck problem. To solve the problem, this paper presents a design resource application services pattern based on OWL-S. In this paper design resources service categories are constructed according to analyzing the existence form and state of design knowledge, basing on which the upper ontology of OWL-S is extended and the design resource application services are semantically described. Then, the system architecture of design resource application services is constructed in which design resource services can be discovered and invoked dynamically by semantic matching mechanism to satisfy the requirements that enterprises quickly acquire and integrate design resources. At last, this paper gives an example of a document service to describe implementation process of the design resource application services.
