摘要

Field measurement of airborne carbonyl compounds was conducted in the air basin of southern Taiwan during the ozone episode and non-episode days in the cold season. Fourteen species of carbonyl compounds and acetone were sampled by DNPH cartridge and analyzed by HPLC. The results indicate that acrolein is the most abundant carbonyl compound (24.2-57.7 ppbv) in the air basin, followed by formaldehyde (7.9-10.5 ppbv), benzaldehyde (4.1-8.7 ppbv), and acetaldehyde (4.4-6.5 ppbv). Concentrations of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde in the air basin were higher than the values measured in most cities in Europe and the U.S. The profiles of airborne carbonyl compounds at various sites are similar to each other both on ozone episode and non-episode days. A concentration ratio of acetaldehyde to formaldehyde correlates with the occurrence of peak ozone event in the-cold season.
