摘要

High-pressure single crystal X-ray diffraction (HP-SCXRD) measurements have been carried out on the photo-magnetic compound, [Y(DMF)_4(H_2O)_3(μ-CN)Fe(CN)_5]H_2O (DMF = dimethyl formamide) (1), in a diamond anvil cell (DAC) at several pressure points up to 7.6 GPa at room temperature. Significant changes are observed in the unit cell parameters accompanying a phase transition at elevated pressure, and the crystal furthermore exhibits a reversible color change. The phase transition involves a change of crystal lattice from monoclinic to triclinic which occurs as the crystal is pressurized above 4 GPa. The b axis, as well as the cell volume, doubles in the triclinic phase. For the data measured at 0.7 GPa full structure determination in the monoclinic cell is possible revealing significant structural changes, that are different from the changes previously observed after UV illumination.
