An unprecedented fly-past took place over Parliament Hill In Ottawa on Sunday 20 September 2015, in commemoration of the 75th anniversary OF THE Battle OF Britain. Crystal clear blue skies provided the perfect background for the event, which drew thousands to downtown Ottawa. The event included an impressive fly-past, military band performances by the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces, and famous Canadian celtic musician and RCAF Honorary Colonel Loreena McKennitt singing the national anthem. The tribute to this iconic air battle was hosted by the Royal Canadian Air Force, in conjunction with the Royal Canadian Air Force Association, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, Vintage Wings of Canada, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, and the National Air Force Museum of Canada.
