Intuition: the missing ingredient for good managerial decision-making

This paper strives to inform decision makers about the ways their mind actually handles huge amounts of information and to raise awareness for the role intuition plays in managerial decision making. To this end, we point out how and when human beings use intuition and provide empirical examples that illustrate its value, as well as factors moderating its application. We close with advice on how to put intuition's elusive force to its best use in professional as well as everyday life.
