Professional duties of care: Recent developments and considerations

In South Australia Management Corporation v. York Montague Limited [1996] [SAAMCO] the House of Lords established a 'scope of duty' principle for professionals which served to limit their liability. Recently the Supreme Court has in BRE Solicitors v. Hughes-Holland [2017] provided clarification of the extent to which the SAAMCO principle applied to Solicitors.
