Annual General Meeting, 1996

The Fifty-First Ordinary General Meeting of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists was held at the Grand Hotel, Colmore Row, Birmingham on Friday, 3 May 1996 at 4.00pm and was attended by 62 members. Mr P A Shenton, Chairman of Council, was in the Chair, and in attendance were Mr J G C Trouncer, General Secretary, Mr D L Hull, Chantrey Vellacott, Auditors, and Mr T Wells, Pannone and Partners, Solicitors. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs D Ashcroft, Mr D Blake, Mr J C Harrison, Mrs M Harrison and Mrs S Vaux. Before the commencement of the formal proceedings of the General Meeting, Mr Shenton was pleased to present an Honorary Vice-Presidency to Mr J A Black. He thanked him for his service on Council, where his presence was much missed. Mr Black stated his belief that service to the profession was its own reward, but that nevertheless he was deeply honoured.
