PROCESS MODELLING OF NUTRIENT RECOVERY SYSTEMS FOR STRUVITE CRYSTALLIZATION

摘要

The paper primarily focuses on the development of a process dynamic model of nutrient recovery systems, based on struvite growth. The modelling approach incorporates themodynamics and solution chemistry, which predominantly control struvite precipitation. The thermodynamic parameters involved in this study are chemical equilibria of different complexes of ammonium, magnesium and phosphate. The kinetic parameters involved relate to the supersaturation, seeds, and mass deposition in a variety of reactor configurations.
