The efficiency of three methods of m-paralel record retrieval in a sequenced file of use with a multiprocessor system, namely m-parallel serial sarch and tow implementations of m-parallel block search, is analyzed for certain types of distribution (uniform, Zipf, genralized and binary) of record retrieval probabilities.
