Eugenics in the garden: transatlantic architecture and the crafting of modernity

As a departure from the traditional book review form, Fabiola Lopez-Duran's book was reviewed by way of conversational interview.Ginger Nolan: I just want to briefly comment on why we've chosen to conduct our book review in the form of an interview. Although I understand the usefulness of book reviews, I also have some minor objections to how the genre serves within university schema of valuation, in the effort to ascribe-ultimately mon-etisable-value to persons and research. That being said, since book reviews are useful in generating a readership for compelling books (such as your own), I thought we could do a book interview and discuss some of the issues the book raises.
