摘要

New closed-form solutions to boundary-value problems describing the radial deformations of cylindrical and spherical shells are obtained by employing a method of solution introduced in [1]. The shells are composed of an isotropic, compressible, non-linearly elastic solid which is characterized by a two-parameter family of strain-energy functions and which, by specialization, reduces to the well-known Blatz-Ko model for foam rubbers.
