The target audience of this book is practicing biologists making use of mi-croarray technology, but it may be of great interest to their statistician collab-orators or statisticians new to the field. The preface states, "we hope to make biologists especially aware of the different assumptions behind the statistical methods to avoid misuse of analysis techniques." The focus tends to be on the big picture rather than overly technical details. The flow of the book is some-what linear, following the natural flow of a microarray experiment from tech-nology to design to analysis to interpretation.
