Introduction of the John Arthur Wilson Memorial Lecture

As we gather this morning to begin the technical program of the 106th Annual Convention of the American Leather Chemists Association, it is appropriate to take a moment to recognize the namesake of this featured lecture series, John Arthur Wilson. Born August 16, 1890 in Chicago, John Arthur Wilson packed a lot into his brief 52-year lifetime and is widely regarded as one of the giants in the advancement of the understanding of leather science and technology during the 20th Century.
