In his recent editorial, Birch1 bases his conclusion of “thernimpossibility of trigger point–acupoint equivalence” on hisrn2003 analysis,2 which can be demonstrated to lack validityrnbecause of its multiple data-reporting and analysis deficienciesrnand its inaccurate conceptualizations of acupuncturernphysiology.
