RICHARD ANDERSON Winner of the 2017 Glen A. Gilbert Memorial Award

ATCA will present one of aviation's premier awards and the association's highest honor - the Glen A, Gilbert Memorial Award - to Amtrak President and GEO Richard Anderson. ATCA and the aviation industry will honor Anderson on October 17,2017, at the Glen A. Gilbert Memorial! Banquet - a highlight of the ATCA Annual. Prior to becoming Amtrak's leader in July 2017, Anderson spent 25 years in the aviation industry, most recently as executive chairman of the Delta Air Lines Board of Directors and the airline's CEO. Anderson has established himself by building strong businesses that create the best travel experience possible for customers. A pillar of the aviation community, Anderson's recent leadership as the chair of the NAC marked major gains in modernization and collaboration. In accepting the Glen A. Gilbert Memorial Award, Anderson joins aviation greats, including NATCA President Paul Rinaldi, the Hon. Jane Garvey, the Hon. Najeeb Halaby, Capt. Elrey B. Jeppesen, former Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta, and pilot A. Scott Crossfield.
