Considerations for Management and Governance of Network-Enabled Resources in an ATC Voice Enterprise

The National Airspace System (NAS) Voice System (NVS) is referred to as a NextGen-enabling program because it will provide a modern and flexible operational voice enterprise; an essential element to achieving the FAA's NextGen objectives. NVS will take advantage of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology to enable the FAA to migrate to a networked capability that is operated and managed as a voice enterprise.
