Welcome to the third quarter issue of The Journal of Air Traffic Control. I would like to start by congratulating Monte Belger on being selected by ATCA's Board of Directors as this year's Glen A. Gilbert Memorial Award winner. Monte's career to date exemplifies the essence of the award. He has contributed much to our industry during his career and it seems he is not done yet. At this writing, Monte was recently appointed as president of Metron Aviation. I hope you can join us in celebrating his accomplishments at the Glen A. Gilbert Memorial Banquet the evening of October 1.
