As a nation, the United States has made increasing the amount of electricity we get from renewable energy sources, including clean energy, a priority over the next few decades. Ifrnoffshore wind energy is to be a viable source of renewable energy, the DOI must take a hard look at all of the players involved in the permitting process and make sure that not only the "major" agencies involved in the environmental review process but also the less-visible agencies, who review projects for adverse impacts, all do their part to facilitate the permitting process.
