GROUND TESTING OF INTEGRATED FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM (IFCS) - LCA

Before the aircraft is ready to commence the flight trials programme, a whole series of ground tests are required. These comprise FCS build tests, ground resonance and structural coupling tests, aircraft systems testing and electromagnetic compatibility testing. This paper describes the comprehensive level of testing of Integrated flight Control system of LCA carried out on aircraft on ground before proceeding to the actual flight trials.
