摘要

The sizing content is the key factor to ensure the quality of the finished composites. An on-line monitoring technology, near-infrared spectroscopy measuring technology, capable of determining sizing content conveniently, quickly and accurately, has been developed during the manufacture of the alkali-free glass cloth.rnA partial least square analysis was used to develop the calibration model by using the first derivative followed by a multiplicative scattering correction. The determination coefficient was 94.60 and the root mean square error of prediction of the sizing content was 0.54%. The results of the paired t-test revealed that there was no significant difference between the NIR method and the standard method. The NIR spectroscopy method can be used to predict the sizing content nondestructively. The study indicates that the NIR method is sufficiently accurate and effective for quality control in the alkali-free glass cloth.
