E-books are rapidly growing in both popularity and ease of use. As more of our patrons become owners of tablet computers and e-book readers, the demand for e-books, previously very small, is currently increasing. Given the combination of technical knowledge and content knowledge that successful e-book collection building requires, the reality is that developing and maintaining an e-book collection is a complex undertaking. Librarians need to be familiar with multiple business models, technologies, and interfaces.
