Modern Pathfinders: Creating Better Research Guides

Many libraries, especially academic libraries, spent countless hours creating pathfinders for our users to follow, whether researching a general topic or a specific subject for an assignment. These handouts were designed to highlight resources offered by our libraries. In Modern Pathfinders: Creating Better Research Guides, Jason Puckett applies current practices to online pathfinders, which are more commonly known as research guides. While he mentions a few platforms, he focuses more on LibGuides from Springshare, which he currently uses as Librarian for Communication and Virtual Services at Georgia State University Library in Atlanta, Georgia. His expertise in working with technology in libraries is valued since he was named a Library Journal Mover and Shaker in 2010. He has also conducted many professional workshops and coproduced a long-running podcast about information literacy instruction.
