supportive of continuing quality improvement and improved adherence with evidence-based ICU best practices. Systematic implementation of the ventilator and central line bundles was temporally associated with a reduction in rates of ventilator-associated pneumonia and catheter-related bloodstream infections. These improvements have been sustained for an 18-month period following completion of the collaborative.
