Three cases of percutaneous removal of biliary foreign bodies are presented. Foreign bodies were a polyvinyl tube, silk thread, and a polyethylene tube. All Foreign bodies were iatrogenic. In two cases, stones were associated with the Foreign body. In all three case, the foreign bodies were successfully removed. The technique used is the same as for removal of vascular foreign foreign bodies, Although additional cholangioscopic guidance is necessary. Small catheters left In the periphery of the intrahepatic duct could be removed with a commercially Available snare.
