摘要

The barrier properties of Fe_2O_3/polyure-thane coatings containing 60-nm and 150-nm Fe_2O_3 particles with different pigment volume concentrations (PVCs) were investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and accelerated salt spray tests. The results indicate that the addition of 60-nm Fe_2O_3 can significantly improve the barrier properties of a coating, while 150-nm Fe_2O_3 has little effect. The 0.2% PVC 60-nm Fe_2O_3 coating had significantly improved protection.
