Efficient stereoselective synthesis of peptidomimetics containing hydroxyethylamine dipeptide isosteres utilizing the aza-Payne rearrangement and O, N-acyl transfer reactions

A novel methodology utilizing the aza-Payne rearrangementnand O, N-intramolecular acyl transfer reactions fornthe synthesis of peptidomimetics containing hydroxyethylaminendipeptide isosteres (HDIs) is described. Thisnmethodology is useful for the stereoselective synthesisnof HDI-containing pseudopeptides, and applicable toncombinatorial chemistry using solid-phase techniques.
