Current Disaster Prevention Project of the Seikan Tunnel

Since the Seikan Tunnel is one of Japan's main artery railway facilities, and the Hokkaido Shinkansen will open for operation in about 5 years, JR Hokkaido understands that it is its duty to be going forward smoothly and safely with not only the Shinkansen construction project but also the improvement work to the Seikan disaster prevention facility.
