NTT, NEC and Fujitsu detail developments in 400G per channel coherent transmission

NTT, NEC and Fujitsu announced a successful transmission test of 400 Gbit/s per channel-class digital coherent optical transmissions technology as they progress toward the commercialization of the technology. The test, featuring 400 Gbit/s signals multiplexed up to 62 channels, verified optical transmissions of from 12.4 up to 24.8 Tbit/s WDM signals with different capacities for each modulation method and over distances ranging from a few thousand up to 10,000 km.
