OCEA launches new survey ship for Nigeria

French shipbuilder OCEA performed the ceremonial launch of a new 60 m hydrographic/ oceanographic survey vessel for the Nigerian Navy on 24 September at its shipyard in Les Sables d'Olonne on the west coast of France. The new OSV 190 SCWB vessel, to be named Lana (A499), is scheduled to enter service with the Nigerian Navy in 2021 as a replacement for a survey vessel of the same name, which was decommissioned about 10 years ago.
