German shipbuilder TKMS and Abu Dhabi MAR (ADM) of the United Arab Emirates are to create a 50/50-owned joint venture called Blohm +Voss (BV) Naval, specialising in the production of frigates, corvettes and auxiliary ships. Distribution will be handled by BV Marine Systems and BV Naval International.
