The Mexican Navy is to receive three UH-60M Black Hawk utility helicopters under a USD35.2 million contract awarded to Sikorsky by the US Department of Defense. Announced on 6 August, the deal includes ancillary equipment and should be complete by December 2012. The Black Hawks will augment around 20 Mil Mi-17 'Hip' transport and assault helicopters that have been in Mexican service since 1994.
