AW clinches Brazil contract AgustaWestland has been awarded a contract to upgrade eight Brazilian Navy Lynx Mk 21A helicopters. The contract, worth more than USD160 million, includes replacing the aircraft's current Rolls-Royce Gem engines with the LHTEC CTS800-4N, installation of new night vision-compatible 'glass' cockpit systems, and fitting an improved defensive aids suite. Upgrades will begin in mid-2015.
