Jordan released in December a request for information (Rfl) regarding an urgent procurement requirement for one coastal patrol boat, with an option for a second. On Jordan's behalf, the US Navy is assessing realistic options within current boat programmes. The new craft should be similar in size and capability to the three in-service Al-Hussein hulls.Iran's new Fateh-class submarine was seen in a 3 February Iranian television montage. Boats were seen in build and being launched. Television footage showed hull-mounted foreplanes, but the propulsion system was covered over. The boat's launch has not been officially confirmed, but IHS Jane's previously published satellite imagery showing the first-in-class being launched, with a second boat in build.
