LRLAP completes qualification testing

Bae systems and Lockheed Martin have successfully completed qualification testing for the 155 mm Long-Range Land Attack Projectile (LRLAP). During the latest tests, nine LRLAPs were successfully fired at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Six of these had been subjected to an environmental qualification process, whose temperature variation and vibration tests were intended to demonstrate that the projectile could withstand different transportation situations and storage environments.
