Advanced anti-tank warheads could defeat vehicle-mounted defensive aids

Two types of anti-armour warhead able to be detonated several metres away from the target are being studied under the Long Standoff Warhead project being conducted under the Franco-British Materials and Components for Missiles Innovation and Technology Partnership (MCM ITP) programme. These warheads are intended to counter the defensive aid suites (DAS) now being deployed on some fighting vehicles.
