Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to be at the forefront of future defence technologies in every warfighting domain from sea to cyber space. In addition, AI applications can be expected to proliferate from traditional peer actors to asymmetric threats. Over the last 8-10 years, AI advances and patents have become one of the fastest growing markets as many armed forces seek to capitalise on lessons learned from commercial successes.
