Lockheed Martin reveals folding quad-rotor UAV

Lockheed Martin Procerus launched a new quad-rotor, vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at AUVSI 2012.Todd Titensor, director of Lockheed Martin Procerus Technologies (and founder of Procerus Technologies), told IHS Jane's that the development of the platform was in response to slow progress being made in the small VTOL UAV sector, explaining that Procerus Technologies was traditionally focused on providing systems to aircraft and UAV manufacturers, notably autopilot systems.
