Logos Technologies advances hybrid-electric military motorcycle development

Virginia-based defence technology firm Logos Technologies will partner with electric motorcycle constructor Alta Motors (formerly BRD) to develop a stealthy, hybrid-electric, tactical motorcycle that could be used by special forces, with research funding from the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The prototype, called the Silen-tHawk, will be based on Alta Motors' electric Redshift MX motorcycle, which is targeted at the civilian off-road racing enthusiast market. However, Logos Technologies said the SilentHawk will include a number of enhancements to enable the prototype to meet DARPA's requirements for a stealthy, all-terrain capable, single track platform for military applications.
