GM Defense wins US Army contract to build ISV fleet

General Motors (GM) Defense has successfully secured the US Army's new Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) contract in a competition involving two other companies. The service announced on 26 June that it has awarded the company a USD214 million con-tract that will cover work until June 2028. This initial contract will cover the production of 649 vehicles, although the army's current ISV acquisition objective is to acquire 2,065 vehicles, GM Defense said.
