US says Iran has carried out more ballistic missile tests

Iran carried out ballistic missile tests on 25 July and 9 August, according to a letter the United States submitted to the UN Security Council. Released on 7 September, the letter said both missiles flew over 1,000 km and that the launches breached Security Council Resolution 2231, which bans Iran from testing ballistic missiles designed to carry nuclear weapons.
