Construction activity at Baltimor airbase

Baltimor airbase, located on the southern outskirts of Voronezh, began undergoing infrastructure repair in late 2013. In July 2013, RIA Novosti reported that Baltimor airbase would be closing for runway and infrastructure repairs until 2015, with assigned aircraft temporarily relocating to Buturlinovka airbase, itself inactive since 2009. Airbus Defence and Space imagery taken in 2017 and 2019 shows the original planned completion date of 2015 was not met, and that work has stalled since 2017, with various elements of the airbase left in an incomplete state.
