The Polish Ministry of National Defence has entered into a PLN400 million (USD104.5 million) offset agreement with Leonardo MW in the United Kingdom to prepare for the possible sale of AW101 helicopters. Under the terms of this agreement Leonardo is committing to establishing a maintenance capability for the helicopter and its mission systems within Polish Armaments Group's (PGZ) Military Aviation Works No.1 in Lodz, while Gdansk Technical University will also benefit from the offset deal.
