AIA chief calls on US Senate to back trade treaty

The President of the US Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has called upon the US Senate to approve the US/UK Defence Trade Co-operation Treaty, "to improve our military relationship with our closest ally". According to a 1 October report from the US trade association, AIA President and Chief Executive Officer John Douglass said that the AIA executive committee had reviewed the treaty language submitted to the Senate and concluded that the agreement would "strengthen the important and unique strategic relationship between the US and the UK - our largest defence trading partner".
