The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Royal Navy (RN) are looking to take forward studies intended to scope a common ship platform that could provide the basis of the RN's future mine countermeas-ures (MCM), hydrographic and patrol capabilities.rnWork is intended to lay the ground for a Future MCM/Hydro-graphic/Patrol Capability (FMHPC) that capability planners believe could progressively replace legacy MCM, survey and offshore patrol assets over the next two decades.
