Airbus Military pledges funds for future of A400M

Airbus Military is prepared to keep financing the A400M transport aircraft until the end of the year, by whichrntime it expects to have reached a common understanding with the seven partner nations on how to take the programme forward. Speaking on 4 May during a tour of the company's Seville facility, which includes the A400M Final Assembly Line (FAL), Chairman and Managing Director Domingo Urefia told reporters that Airbus Military is currently in the proc-rness of briefing the core customers - France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Turkey and the UK - on "the reality of the situation", adding that the company "is not negotiating with the customers" for a new contract but is, rather, briefing them as to the stage the programme has reached.
