Eurocopter will be able to offer the German armed forces a specialist 'roll on, roll off medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) kit for its NHIndustries NH90 Tactical Transport Helicopters (TTHs) "by the end of 2011", a company spokesperson told Jane's at the ILA Berlin Air Show on 8 June.rnExhibiting the modular fit (dubbed Forward Air MedEvac by Eurocopter) for the first time at the show, the spokesperson was unable to say when the Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement (BWB) might award the contract for up to 12 new MEDEVAC kits and how much such a contract might be worth, but added: "The German Army wants the capability as quickly as possible."
