Taiwan to withdraw offset banking conditions

Taiwan's Industrial Cooperation Program (ICP) Office - the body that manages defence offset programmes on behalf of the government - is set to withdraw offset banking conditions as part of a bid to comply with the World Trade Organisation's (WTO's) Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA), which does not favour offsets "as criteria for awarding contracts".
